Global Auto Transportation

My ship date was schedule for May 22/23. I contact the agent on May 3 to setup up the pickup and delivery. I had to travel to Austin TX from Colorado to be available deliver the car to the driver. I asked for a delivery date to my home in Colorado of 5/26. The agent indicated this should not be an issue but would let me know once the schedulers set the driver and date. On Monday the 18th I called the agent. He indicated he would send the info to the schedulers on Tuesday and would know by Wednesday. I told him I really need to know Wednesday in order to set up delivery coverage. By Thursday he still did not have a driver. Finally he found a driver but told me I need to take delivery on the 25th. I was not able to do this as I indicated numerous times so while he spoke to the driver I tried to move some things around to be able to shift my timing so I could accept at delivery on the 25th. I called him back to let him know I could be home the 25th but he had lost the driver. Later on Thursday he found another driver. The driver was scheduled for mid morning Friday and he arrived around lunch. The driver spoke no english and was not able to communicate with me at all. He loaded my car up on a rather beat up trailer we was pulling with a beat up truck which had temp tags. He was able to indicate he would deliver the car at 7am Monday. I got no updates from this point on what so ever. At this point my agent was not returning calls. I started to wonder if I would actually get my car. Mid morning Monday I called the drivers boss who indicated delivery was now at 12pm-1pm. At about 1:30pm I called again and he indicated 3pm. After 3pm I got a call from a women whom I did not know her connection to the driver or boss and she indicated 4pm. 4pm came and went and now the delivery time was 6pm. Finally about 7:15 pm the car arrived. The car was in good shape physically but is was covered in diesel exhaust. The driver had put the top down so the diesel exhaust was on other the inside and outside. I had to wash the car thoroughly. Took 2 hours.

I chose your company partly because you dealt with high end cars. While my car is a Honda S2000 which is not high end I expected good service. I was taken aback by the lack of preparedness, the lack of communication, and the condition in which my car was delivered. I had to spend all day memorial day awaiting delivery so I lost the day. The ordeal was really not a good user experience. I indicated this to the agent and did not hear a response back for a day. He apologized for the car being late but informed me he felt the communication was ok. This is not a cheap service at $1195. The service did not align with the cost. Very disappointing. I strongly advise not using this company.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this company. I have never worked with a company with such a low level of competency and professionalism. The company does not keep its promises and fails to make apologies for it. When complained about its less than satisfactory services, the salesperson "Elena" said "Be careful what you say to me. You need to watch out. Understood?" I don't know if there is any company out there that makes such threats or unprofessional remarks to customers. .

From the time that I called to the time that I received my motorcycle was 17 hours. It was the first time I had a vehicle shipped so I was worried, especially since it was being picked up 715 miles away. Diana coordinated with the driver and my brother to meet together to load and ship. I was notified 2 hours and 30 minutes before the motorcycle was to arrive.  It came a couple hours early in perfect condition.  They even brought my ATV ramp as a courtesy for free. Not only I but my brother was also so pleased with the entire experience that my brother contacted Diana to ship his bike from Utah to Rhode Island. My brother was moving from Utah in a couple days and I would have had no one to look after my bike.  Thank you Diana and the Global Auto Transportation team for my bike!! It's so hard to determine by reading online reviews which company is going to give you the best experience so I thought I'd weigh in. From the office person, Chris, to the dispatcher and even the driver (to set up time for drop off of car) working with Global Auto was a very positive experience. They kept in touch, were true to the time windows they gave me, and there were no delays--from pick up to drop off. Very happy with them and would use them again (and probably will on the return trip at the end of the summer!).

I contact the broker Total car Shipping and they assigned me this dispatch Global Auto Transportation. The person in Total car shipping is nice and willing to help. And he indeed assigned a driver who pick up my car quickly and also promise that it will be delivered on time. The car is supposed to be delivered exactly on August 15th but I received it 4 days later (they do first ship it right away, but to a terminal and then keep there for several days). The people who picked up the phones at Global Auto Transportation are all very impatient. When I received the car, I found it has louder noise than before when I accelerate. And there are some old parts in the back trunk of the car. I am wondering whether they have replaced some parts and whether it is the reason they keep my car in their terminal for several days. Of course they will not agree that they cause the noise since in the contract they only marked the scratches on the car upon pickup.

Worst auto transportation company ever. Terrible customer service! First, they tried increasing my quote of $795 by $100 more. Then, I get a call from the driver (5 days before the estimated time the dispatcher had given me) saying that he was an hour away and that if I wasn’t ready he was going to cancel. I had to drop all my plans and everything I was doing (I was in the middle of packing) to get the car ready for the driver to only keep pushing back the time (3 times). I ended up having to drop off my car at the driver’s location because he had already maxed his hours of duty. To make the matter worse; I made a deposit to GAT of $295 therefore, I thought I only owed $500. Turns out the driver wanted $700 cash and told me that I needed a $200 refund from the company. I call the dispatcher; he tells me they were going to write a check for the driver (who only takes cash). They were going back and forth trying to figure out the payment situation and couldn’t come to conclusion. Finally, the dispatcher tells me they were going to write me a check, which I still haven’t received (it’s been 2 weeks now) and I had to pay the driver those extra $200. The driver was the biggest jerk ever too. I will NEVER use this company again nor could I recommend it to anyone!
